15 Manufacturing Facilities in Bulacan shut down for pumping chemical waste to Manila Bay

There is no stopping the Division of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) from its crackdown of centers that contaminate Manila Bay.

In Bulacan, the agency’s local office got the closure of 15 manufacturing facilities in the Municipalities of Marilao and also Meycauayan for pumping drainage directly to river tidewaters that connect to Manila Bay.

In a record launched by DENR on Friday (January 25), the firm released ‘cease and also desist’ order to 12 leather and also tannery firms in Meycauayan and also 3 in Marilao.

On Monday (January 28), the DENR sealed the drain canal of 5 natural leather manufacturing facilities to avoid wastewater from draining pipes to the rivers of Marilao and Meycauayan.
